Pattern of diversity based on phenological and productivity traits in chickpea ( C icer arietinum

چکیده
One hundred twenty six Recombinant Inbred Lines (RILs) derived from a cross ICCV-2 x JG 62 along with six checks were evaluated to study the genetic divergence. Mahalonobis (1936) D statistic analysis was used for assessing the genetic divergence among the RIL’s involving phenological and yield component traits. The 132 genotypes formed 15 clusters and out of which 8 clusters were solitary suggesting the very diverse nature of 8 RILs from rest of the genotypes. But no distinct grouping of desi and kabuli types were observed indicating reasonably high degree of recombination between JG 62 and ICCV 2. The two solitary clusters, VIII and X showed their distinctiveness from the other groups as reflected by generally higher magnitude of inter cluster distance values of these two clusters with other clusters and are characterised by mean high pod number, seed yield and ideal duration of reproductive phase. As for degree of contribution of each character to divergence, the pods per plant contributed maximum (76.58%).

Studies show that some of the medicinal plants have allelopathic effects. Therefore, one of the tools for reducing application of herbicides is using the allelopathic properties of these plants. These plants, if put in the agronomic rotation, are very important. The present research was conducted to determine the effects of different concentrations of aqueous extract of leaf, stem, flower and r...

To study the effect of fertilizer and planting pattern on chickpea and linseed plant traits in dryland farming, a field experiment was conducted in factorial layout based on randomized complete block design with three replications in Naqadeh, Iran during growing season of 2016-2017. Treatments were included six substitutive cropping patterns; sole cropping of chickpea, sole cropping of linseed,...
متن کاملDetermination of Genetic diversity of cultivated chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) using Medicago truncatula EST-SSRs
Expressed sequence tags simple sequence repeats (EST-SSRs) are important sources for investigation of genetic diversity and molecular marker development. Similar to genomic SSRs, the EST-SSRs are useful markers for many applications in genetics and plant breeding such as genetic diversity analysis, molecular mapping and cross-transferability across related species and genera. In spite of low po...
